Subject: RE: Bloomberg: $3.75 corn

Driftless SW Wisconsin

These people should stick to stocks and bonds. They obviously know little about agriculture.

They had a push to get more familiar with ag ($7 corn will do that) and sent a few of their NYC apartment dwelling reporters out to ride in combines....Funny to hear their comments afterwards.

Of course there is more corn than last year after the drought. Of course the price is going to come down this year with a decent harvest.

Even the picture is misleading - the corn shown still in the field is probably there because it was way to wet too harvest.  If they want pics of corn in the field yet they should come to Wisconsin. And most of it is not out there for grazing as mine is.

edit to add - That corn in the field is a sign of prices tending up not down. They don't seem to understand that. I do like Bloomberg for certain types of financial news - but not agriculture! Market to Market on Iowa Public TV is a good source for ag news and price discussions.
