You would be surprised to know that a crew knows very little about what is back there. You have the paperwork but often so much is listed it's like reading a book. As long as you have your dangerous papers, go. Technically speaking the crew is responsible for ensuring the first 6 cars don't contain hazmat after that it's all freight.
