NW Washington | I would hire a known good tile setter especially if you are doing a shower. A tile job is easy to foul up and hard to fix.
That tile floor is going to feel like ice to bare feet almost year around. I recommend that you install electric floor warming mats or wire under the tile. Heat is controlled by a thermostat which also has a timer so you only warm the floor when the room is normally being used. Your wife will appreciate the warm floors.
