Not really sandy... But I wonder if we do have better drainage than some... Certainly looks to drain quicker than Minnesota and South Dakota for instance.. But we have longer days in April too. Like I said earlier,even some of my friends here in Montgomery county believe they have better results than we do... It just seems to me it's mostly about nitrogen... For instance even at the edge of a pond the corn will be green and healthy if we sidedress... But if we preplant, once that plant turns yellow from water standing it never greens back up... Does anyone else see this on their farm???
