| I have an EZ 500 providing GPS (WAAS) to a new style (no buttons) Viper Pro. I have enabled GGA, VTG and ZDA messages (have also tried RMC instead of ZDA). Baud rate is 19200. Outputting NMEA at 5 Hz. The viper is set for generic GPS. I can hit AutoBaud and the Viper finds GPS. When I view messages, I can see them scrolling by. My GPS Tab still displays a red X on the Viper. It shows two error codes. One says AOD (Raven says that means Age Of Data) and another that says "Set Station ID". Sometimes this system works, but will randomly show those error codes then you are dead in the water. I have 2 other setups like this that run with no problem. I have switched out the 500 and the antenna. The Raven guy is supposed to be bringing me another Viper to try. Anyone have any other suggestions? | |
