That is how you access the old G5 iMacs. The new ones with the silver aluminum case do not open that way. On the newest ones there is a little door that comes off on the bottom where that manual shows the 3 screws are and gives you access to the systems memory. You can NOT access anything inside the case except memory from that slot. The only way to access the rest of the computer is to take the screen out of the case. No one has given me a clear explanation as to how this is done. But I read somewhere that there are magnets that hold it in place and you need a suction cup style device to pull the screen out.

I am pretty disappointed that Apple would do this... however I still ordered one for my mom the other day. Time will tell.
