Subject: RE: outback and autoboom

I have been thinking about the same thing after the local crop
production show. I have the outback S2 and was looking at the
Topcon x20. Not sure you can make it work without dual control
or some independent electronics. You would have to figure out where
you turn off or on units as compare to when the antenna crosses the
headland and see if unit can be programmed.
For my unit I need to turn off NH3 about 20 feet before and seed
as the antenna cross the headland. the turn on is when unit
is about 3/4 way around for NH3 and as front wheel cross back
for the seed.
Topcon is expensive, but I am looking for a better mapping and
guidance system. I am not very impressed with the outback in
contour mode.
