Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Wow...thought your corn would be better with the big rains in July. Must have been too late? Nebraska dryland corn around here is worse than last year. We have chopped 20% of it. The rest might average 20 or so...hopefully. Last year we abandoned some and the rest was 20-50 with a 30bu. average. Don't believe the irrigated is going to do as well either.
I'll echo what TMRAND says. A week ago we thought we would be dusting in all the wheat, now it looks like pretty good conditions. AND enough that it should not run the risk of sprouting and dying. 2" should go deep enough to last awhile.
