New Mexico
for example $5.56 corn is a "dime" per pound on a converted basis going thru cattle.

on a 6:1 conversion, That is less than $60 cwt on a converted beef basis.

ADD $25 cwt to the total Wholesale corn COG ( which More than covers all other costs, PLUS actually includes decent feedlot operating margins ) works out to a TOTAL converted COG ( including feeding / feedlot profit ) of Less than $85 cwt..

Problem most corn farmers have is they are LAZY FARMERS. MO.

If they would all run a few cows and produce a few feeder cattle every year, they would not mostly be sucking "uncles" teat.

It IS that simple too.

"bunch a little baby welfare rump kissers, " to a LARGE degree.

Hate to post it, but it IS True.
