Subject: combine rookie concave ? (1680)

Manitoba
ok, take me to school please

this will be 1st year i'm combining, I'm just finishing up going over our 1680 and after replacing rotor and putting kile flight impellers on things look ready to go (about 1 1/2 weeks away from Canola, then later to beans and corn). the one thing I am wondering about is which concaves to be using for which crops. First concave in our machine is what I think is called a small wire (narrower spacing between wires and ours have small rectangular sections of steel clipped to the wires making openings even smaller). then the 2nd and 3rd are the same (think those are considered large wire, bigger spacings)

ive done some searching online trying to see what I should be using where but have not really found anything definite about what to use where. only lots of different aftermarket versions promising the world. i'd really appreciate some guidance in this area. or if you know of any good links that explain it. thanks a lot

our 1680 is an early series with the IH motor if that makes a difference.
