+1. Commercial shorts = farmer selling. Elevators make money on basis and carry. They do not want to be exposed to futures. When you sell, it is immediately hedged on their part as well. I would be weary of an elevator playing with futures contracts! An elevator that speculates on futures markets won't be in business very long.
