To be fair, I heard Chip Flory on the radio over lunch today, and he went far out of his way to explain the impact of the 2012 numbers on the 3-year average they are comparing to.  And also made a big point that the yield potential they are seeing is just that, potential, and is going to require some additional moisture and a lot of days before a frost if it is to be achieved.
