I guess I don't think they use the three year avg. to calculate this years crop -- It is to my knowledge only for comparison purposes not calculating.
I think the formula they use for calculating yield is ear size, number of ears and kernels per bushel they don't even use and avg. ear weight.
I think it is safe to say nobody
( well almost nobody thinks this crop is as bad as last years
