With only that many head corn pellets and a little hay is about the only option. I always felt the pellets made especially for Holstein steers were overpriced. They cost about the same price per ton as regular beef feeds but they want you to use 200#/ton whereas your typical 40-55% protein beef pellet is only 100#/ton. When we fed Holsteins we had the best luck with Self-Feeder 55 feed from Big Gain. It has the right Ca:P ration that no additional mineral is needed. It also was very cost competitive.
