Previcid and Prilosec are both good, and are otc. Once a day, in the morning and no problems. Rantinicid (Zantac) is good for occasional flare-ups as well. Please don't ignore the heartburn.....good friend ignored his and the outcome was very bad.

You are right. It may be heart burn, it may be an ulcer , it may be cancer and it may be your heart .If it persists it needs to be checked. By the way , most of it is caused by reflux and being over wt.
