You & me both! Nothing fancy, a workhorse: '86 3/4 4x4 carburetored 350, 4 speed with 411 gears. Pulls the stock trailer like a breeze, but good thing it's got them dual tanks! It's my field truck now for the last few years. Stays pretty close to home. Body's pretty much rusted away on it. Are you old enough to remember The Flintstones? I can see the road through the floorboards! But still hauls the cattle to pasture in the spring & back in the fall. A '98 takes over when I've got a load to go to town an hour away. That one has a few more creature comforts, but I don't like driving it as much because I have to use the clutch in it & can't float the gears like in the '86. |
