If you are going to bale the stubble hay, probably September, before the foxtail gets too mature. If you have any thin spots in the clover, you will have foxtail. It makes really good hay also. If you want fall pasture, I would start strip grazing by 10th to 15th of August. We've done that before and it will make cows or yearlings fat and sassy.
