Tom, As I recall in the picture above from early May I had it in the most aggressive setting. When I use it to aerate pastures I run in the least aggressive setting,

In corn in the spring that has been grazed I also run it very aggressive.

As I was trying mostly to incorporate P & K fertilizer in the photo I think I had it most aggressive.  It did not bring up objectionable clods. What ones it did make the drill coulter crumbled the next day.

This is also why I traded my newer lower cost version for the older heavier more easily adjustable version of the Aerway after just a couple uses. They still sell both.
