blairsville,pa | here's momma's little raised bed garden. Normally its in full swing by now but we got it in late and it had been pretty cold till recently. raised beds are #2 cedar, 3'x12' we used too have a larger conventional garden. but I am amazed what them little boxes will pump out. water when needed is supplied from hose reel mounted to side of the house, fertilizer is neighbor's horse manure every fall. Usually we weed before planting and cover with straw. Never got around to it this year. :/
