on a dry matter basis, brown top hay is generally 9+ to 11% CP, and in the low 50's TDN.

as far as what it's worth? depends on your feed area ( local hay market etc ) most likely.

seems like you need to weigh some bales and discount excess water out of the price.

a 40% moisture content bale is worth 25% Less money than 15% moisture hay.
( on 1,000 lbs per bale at 40% moisture there's 250 lbs that is just excess water in that feed )
