| we store in 2 upright silos, a bag and a small bunker. The bunker works as long as you get it done when it needs to be done do not let it get too dry. If it is getting a little past prime a bag is the way to go we did a 12' bag last fall and it was the best quality feed out of the three especially since it was a little bit drier than ideal. If you bunk it make sure that you have plenty of weight moving at all times when filling. Think about the value of a ton of earlage vs. corn silage shrink really kills you in the high value crops. | |
