We use it on both corn silage and our grass silage round bales. We screwed up abit last fall when we put in our corn silage and didn't put enough inoculant on and now we notice it heating in the bunk and it normally doesn't do that. We would never do without on the corn silage. Our grass silage round bales we probably could get away without using it if we wanted.
