Subject: RE: Is it legal to pull header trailer on interstate?

Got stopped/ticketed in southern Ill in Pulaski Co.for pulling one home. They issue 20,000 tickets a year in that Co. alone for anything and everything they can. I finally got off of the 3 tickets but took a lawyer to do it. 1st ticket was for disregarding limited access highway. 2nd was for no registration for trailer. 3rd was for overweight with trailer because trailer had no weight on plate and no plate. I wouldn't do it if I were you. Take the state roads and see some scenery.

Policeman that stopped me was a Mounds city Ill. city cop. Not an Ill. state policeman. That city has a small amount of I-57 that they patrol and get the revenue from. May be different/relaxed rules about farm equ where you are from.
