I have only had one instance of foam, and it was a bacterial foam. There were two quads next to each other. Same hogs, same feed, same water. In the one quad, a big patch of foam would move slowly from one part of the pit to another. We had heard that MTM would help with the foaming, but it wasn't effective on the bacterial foam. Ended up using Coban 90 and last I heard, that took care of it. As far as foaming from filling, I've heard it knocks it down, but don't have any first-hand experience.
