The weight stack on the Gennies swings with the front axle. The net effect is that the weight is direction riding on the front axle/tires, and the rest of the tractor is sitting on top of the pivot ball for the front axle. Putting the weights on the axle meant that much less weight that had to be transferred through the pivot ball.
