Its a law that has some wiggle room. When I was in School in the Mid-2000's we brought firearms to School. We were allowed to bring them onto the grounds if we were on the Schools Shooting team. The just had to be cased, unloaded, action open and left in the Principles/Vice Principles office while on the grounds. I had my CZ 452 .22lr, 12 Ga Benelli Super Black Eagle, and my Bow there every School day from Dec to April.

A lot of the schools in my area were and still are the same way. He tried to correct the problem, by calling his mom to retrieve the gun. The problem is that Johnston County is getting a lot of implants moving in from the Triangle.


The bigger issue is all the Kids with drugs on school grounds that just get a slap on the wrist.
