| The wife has been saving for a while and she thinks it is time to get a pontoon. I am wondering what I should be looking at when we go to look at the ones she is finding. We are looking for something to relax on with friends and our young family. She has a few 14 or 16 passenger ones spotted. Main questions are
- How bad is licensing, and insurance?
- Any brands better than others??
- What brand of motors are best
- How many horsepower should it be? Would like to be able to pull tubes when kids get bigger.
- Anything else that would be helpful to know before we do this??
It will be a older one so resell wont be a factor but reliability/low cost maintenance will be a plus.
