King City, Mo | Well if you like to hunt around and catch sales you can do good. Our house is good sized at 19xx main floor, 19xx basement, 700upstairs, 600 above the garage..and a 30x38 garage. Took us longer but we did a lot of work our self and were way under $100/sq foot and have a Kitchenet in the basement and a lot of tiled floors and spray foam and geothermal zoned Hvac.
I count my labor cost as $0.00/hr as if we didn do the house i would of spent more time on agtalk, the feed store or wathing sponge bob according to my wife.... i was also the general contractor...the guys at Menards offered me a desk as I spent so much time there.
We built the house as we plan to live there till death...we're 28......
Cheaper carpet you will be replacing it if you dot get the good stuff....ours was like 4.75/sq foot off the top of my head.
Contractors are in the same group as lawyers, thiefs, politicians and other undieserisbles....
Propane fire place will be around 5000
Bathrooms are expensive.....kitchens too
36" doors so you can get wheel chairs threw.
Get the good toilets that are Ada approved cuz there taller and have the larger flush valve.
