I built my home in 2004 and my advice is if you have a heated garage, I would put my bath room in there. I wanted to put my bath room in the basement as I had it in my old house but my wife didn't want to clean the steps all of the time. I have in floor heat in the garage and the bath room and it can be hosed down just like the garage.
