The Greenseeker works well on corn and wheat if set-up and calibrated correctly. Calibration takes maybe 5-10 minutes when you get used to it, so not a big deal. Your comment above about the stage of N application on corn is important though, the corn needs to be at least V6-V8 to get realistic sensor readings and thats too big for NH3, so then your likely back to liquid through drop tubes or possibly a custom designed applicator for bigger corn. Plus a rain/irrigation !
