Tensas, Louisiana
He's got a pretty good operator though. ;<) The year before last I picked 3135 acres in 42 days of picking. That was with very little down time for weather and about a day of downtime for an electrical gremlin. I rarely run more than about an hour after sunset. This past year I picked 2775 in 34 days with alot of moving between farms. No down time, got sprinkled on a couple of time and lost half a day. As my brother said, yield doesn't much affect productivity. These picker rarely choke up (3 times last year) and changing wrap only takes me about 5 minutes. A roll of wrap does nearly 100 bales so even in good cotton you only have to change about 3 times a day.
