Brother picked over 3000 with ours in '11, close to that in '12. Yours is a pretty subjective question though. There is no magic number of acres required- if you can afford it, get it. If you're on the low side on acres you could pick up some custom picking or just say it's gonna last you a long time. I suspect Fla is a lot like La- some years you can't have too much picking capacity.
