N FLA | When I used ESN, it was on top of the ground. I felt like the bigger issue was I applied it 30 days after planting and release was too slow as you suggested. It definitely released, but I think I gave up 15 bushels or so.Maybe the timing will compensate for that. I don't have equipment to incorporate in the strip, although that would be the way to go I suspect. I think much of the ESN rec is because it floats and is prone to water erosion more so than release. So I shouldn't have that issue on the beach here. We will learn something, no guarantee I can even make it fit this high residue system with a crop that takes up N this fast. | |
