I have to ask the question. If you are making your recommendation based on mapping capabilities, why are you recommending the EZ500? The EZ500 will create a coverage map that is nothing more than a pretty picture. The map file is a polygon shape file. It will not record split planter. It can not be used to calculate product usage. The EZ500 (and FMD also) are very weak in their mapping/logging capabilities in my view. The GS2 and the AL Insight both have much more mapping capabilities than the current Trimble offerings. And, yes I run a Trimble system.

My recommendation, since you're not looking for extensive mapping, would be the Trimble EZ-Guide 500 with Trimble Autopilot. This configuration is available through Trimble (obviously), CaseIH, and New Holland dealers.
