Alton, Ia | USUALLY, your crop history from other fields will transfer over, ie your new ground will have the same APH as your current ground. BUT, there are some wrinkles if you farm other ground in the same section, or did, and have that crop history still included in your insurance. IE the agent did not delete the ground X number of years ago when you stopped farming, just quit reporting acres there.
Worst case is you get county average for yields, which for half the acres is a good deal, and for half, not so much.
Trend adjusting also doesn't carry over, I believe.
