Central Illinois | Most liquid N comes in the form of 32%, it is watered down to create 30% or 28% mainly so that it does not salt out in storage over winter when temps drop. What your supplier may be doing is instead of using water to dilute the 32% he may have used liquid ammonium sulfate that is sometimes a byproduct from companies like ADM. In the Midwest I have seen some pretty good responses to applied sulfur. It would be interesting to learn what his source of sulfur is, is he doing what I suspect or is he actually adding Ammonium Thio Sulfate as his sulfur source. It would also be of interest in finding out what your final analysis is for what you apply. It is certainly worth further discussion. Just my opinion..... | |
