I'm trying soybeans this year in Alberta and people are saying here that first time fields do better with liquid + in-furrow than liquid + peat. We don't have an extra box on the drill so we're just going with liquid + peat. I think the advantage to the in-furrow is that it spreads the rhizobia out more so they have more roots to hit for nodulation. I would think after the first year in soybeans there shouldn't be as big of a difference once the populations get established.
