California/Oregon | Never get tired of watching them. When I was a young boy (in the early 50's) aerial spraying was just starting in our community with old WW2 high wing planes and WW2 pilots. They flew no more than 2 feet off the crops lots of times. One day they were spraying our potatoes and I thought it would be cool to get my old daisy bb gun and play war. So I hid in one of the potato rows and about the time the plane was pretty close I jumped up and pretended to be shooting at the plane. I could see the pilots' eyes widen and he took the plane darn near straight up only a few yards away from me. Dang that was exciting. The plane disappeared and about ten minutes later Dad found me. Ouch!!
