south Texas , York Rife Freemason | deere did make a pto powered small air compressor at one time (been a few years so i might be wrong on the brand ) . the older farmers told me they made an adapter for sparkplugs to air up tires in the 40--50's .i have seen a small portable gas powered air compressor at home depot . have also seen a air compressor running off the transmission on a mechanic service truck ,most of the h.d. 1 tons have a pto gear on the transmission ,that might be an option. i also thought about a small hyd. motor running a compressor , that might be handy too . best thing i found is to park the equipment where i can get to it with an air hose from the compressor,i guess i have 300' of hose or more. also i put slime tire sealer in almost every tire i mount .that seems to help alot . im a small farmer and i have over 100 tires myself. |
