HUD, My 95 chevy didn't have air conditioning, so I mounted an a/c compressor in the normal spot. Routed a line to an air tank under the bed. I wired a switch on the dash to a pressure switch on the air tank. I occasionally added some synthetic oil into the intake side of the compressor to keep it lubed. The compressor lasted 340 days with moderate use. It was under warranty so Autozone gave me a new one :) CFM seemed to be in the 1 CFM range at idle or 4 CFM with a pair of vice grips on the throttle. I mounted a BIG 12 volt air compressor in the front bumper of my F350. It was a winch motor hooked up to a York compressor. CFM was about 4 CFM. You can get a commercially made model called the Oasis Trailhead compressor or build one yourself. Here's a link and a picture: http://www.okoffroad.com/stuff-oasis.htm
