Mount Vernon, WA | If it's a two piece seal with integral wear sleeve, you'll never get it on without the proper tool. Bite the bullet and buy the tool, or have the dealer come out and put it in for you.
If it's a simple single lip, one piece seal, then an appropriate sized piece of pipe, or even the old seal, works good as a driver. Getting the lips of the seal over the shaft should not be a big deal. If it is, I suspect you have the two-piece. is the inner part of the seal metal? | |
