I've used mine a few times to knock down alfalfa and always use it on waterways that have orchard grass and the dry down is minimal since it is laying so flat. I can usually bale the waterways in 1.5 days. Biggest problem is having a good rake to pick it up off the ground. You'll like the Kuhn !! good luck.
