Subject: Re: Autopilot in 2wd Jd question

North west MN
I ran an autopilot on a 4640 2 wd JD and on a 4840 2wd JD. It worked just fine I was able to use it for harvesting beets on 22" rows and it followed just fine without nudging. When it got wet this fall I had a beet get in caught front of the front wheel with some leaves and the tire quit turning but the autopilot was able to keep it on the row with only 1 front tire rolling. I guess if you can steer it the autopilot can steer it better. If the front end is that light add more weight.
