"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.
Sounds about right. Although I don't think I sound very Canadian or have a "Fargo" accent. I used to drive truck over the road and found that most people had a hard time figuring what part of the country I was from. About the only way I would give my self away was when I would call a soft drink "pop". | |
