SW Indiana | Personally, I'd use a bolt action .243 with a long heavy barrel. Probably a Savage with accutrigger. (We're keeping it economical right?) I'd spend the rest of the money on optics. As Burgess159 said, I think it's hard to beat a Nikon Monarch for the money.
Been wanting to try this myself.
Edit. Better figure a few bucks for hand loading equipment too. You'll never do it with factory ammo.
