Northwest Ia | It would be interesting to see some comparisons on HMC in a silo vs the earlage. I use the combine to make my earlage, by taking out bottom seive and reclaiming as much as possible, then crank rotor tight to grind up cobs, it uses a little fuel. This wet corn is then run through blower into silo. The silo pipe has a section with sickles welded into it to further crack it ,makes nice feed. My last test showed it comparable to earlage while saving the harvesting cost. | |
