no wheres land | If you have any access to corn silage the cheapest ration I have come up with for beef cows is Silage, straw and ddgs.
For mature beef cows we feed 26lbs of silage, 22 pounds of straw, and 2 pounds of ddgs.
If you have a mixer wagon put the silage in first and then put the ddgs in and it will mix and stick to the silage and wont sift out.
We figure the feed costs at $0.98 a day/head.
