scky
I chewed and dipped for about 30yrs, so you can quit if you really want to. I got sick and the Dr. gave me some meds. and it made my mouth raw. I would try to dip and it would make my mouth real sore, felt like the hide would peel off, I would stop and it would begin to heal and I would try a dip, I finally decided to stay off the tobacco until it got well. That took about 2 weeks and by this time I decided I could do without the tobacco, been about 10yrs and no tobacco yet. Don't know about the bp and cholesterol but it has to be better.
About 8yrs ago had a triple by-pass and that was the first thing the Dr. warned me about, no tobacco.
Dad used tobacco for all his adult life, died at 72yrs old with tobacco plak so bad in the arteries that they could not operate or stent because heart was too weak at this point. I encourage you to quit as soon as possible, you will feel lots better.
Good luck and enjoy.
