| When I was in college, my bio and chem major friends and I judged a lot of science fairs at the local schools.
I don't really care how original the idea for the project was, the purpose of a science fair project is to learn (and hopefully understand) the scientific method. The kids that won (when we judged) were the ones that understood the scientific method and understood how their findings support their conclusions.
For this popcorn project to be successful, all the test conditions need to be standardized (except for the different brand of popcorn). So, if the corn was popped until "the popping stopped for the most part" then popped for one more minute...then the test conditions are not standardized. | |
