NW Central Ohio | Moisture content of the kernal makes a big difference too. ConAgra pays us a bonus when we get the moisture between about 13.8 and 14.3%. That's the sweet spot for maximum expansion. He did the expansion test right...I believe they take a 75 gram sample of every load delivered...then put it in a microwave bag with the proper measured amount of oil...seal it...and pop it. They then just pour it into a graduated funnel..and measure how much volume it produced. | |
